Titanic - World's Largest Museum Attraction (Branson, USA)
The Titanic museum of Branson towers 100 ft high above County Highway 76. The museum is located in the half size model of the RMS Titanic, to complete the illusion it is surrounded by water. Visitors will receive their entry tickets in form of a boarding pass, each pass bears the name of one of the original passengers of the ill-fated ocean liner, and can retrace the story of “their passenger” during their tour of the museum. Inside of the museum more than 400 original artifacts are displayed in twenty galleries. Further there are numerous replicas of the ship’s interior, such as the grand staircase, first class staterooms and third class cabins, the first class dining room, the boiler room and more. The museum is fully interactive and offers visitors of all ages the chance to touch a piece of an iceberg, feel how cold the water was on the night the Titanic sunk, send an SOS from the wireless room, shovel coal into a boiler, steer the ship from the captain’s bridge and much more. A new addition to the museum is a gallery dedicated to James Cameron’s Oscar wining 1998 movie in which you can see the red dress Kate Winslet wore when she tried to jump from the ship, movie props, the necklace used in the movie, photos from the set and more.
