St Pete Times Forum (Tampa, USA)

Originally called the Tampa Bay Ice Palace when it was first opened in 1996, it was renamed after the local newspaper in 1999. It is a large steel and glass structure in the heart of downtown Tampa, situated between the Channelside District and the Convention Centre. It is also home to Tampa Bay Lightning, the NHL ice hockey team. With a capacity of over 20,000 the St Pete Times Forum hosts over 100 concerts, ice shows, circus and other events throughout the year. The Forum has three restaurants (Medallions, Icons and Shots - which serve a range of full and light menus) and the Absoluts Experience Lounge (a full service bar). Fast food concession stands operate during events. There is a disabled person’s drop-off point on Channelside Drive as well as multi-storey and lot parking in the vicinity.
