Hotel Quality Inn & Conference Center (Tampa, USA)

The hotel is just across the street from the University of South Florida campus, and less than two miles from Busch Gardens, Adventure Island water park, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Yuengling Brewery. Downtown attractions including the Florida Aquarium, The Tampa Theater and the Straz Center, as well as the bustling nightlife of Ybor City are all less than ten minutes away.

From upscale dining to counter service and fast food, there are plenty of restaurants of all kinds to choose from right near the hotel. The University Mall is within walking distance, as are several bars and coffee shops including Mojo Books and Music and The World of Beer.

Guests loved the hotel's expansive and nicely landscaped pool area. The Clarion Hotel and Convention Center features a full-size outdoor heated pool for guests of all ages, as well as a children's pool with a pirate-themed water play area.

Numerous visitors to the hotel remarked that the property was in need of some refurbishment and maintenance. Problems included chipped paint and dirty corridors, as well as unusually small bathrooms and worn furniture in the guestrooms.

The hotel doesn't seem to be particularly clean. Guests reported finding stained sheets, dirty floors and bugs in the guestrooms, and several people also complained that the rooms smelled like mold.

The neighborhood around the hotel is somewhat sketchy and rundown, and some guests didn't feel that they were exceptionally secure. The hotel has outdoor corridors and an open parking lot, and several people complained that other guests were drinking, smoking and making noise in the parking lot and outside the guestrooms.
