Positive Reviews
positive:
Large, spacious rooms.
InterContinental Tampa rooms and suites are spacious and modern. The rooms are well-proportioned and offer just the right amount of light without feeling sterile and just the right amount of décor without feeling overdone or claustrophobic. Suites are elegant and include tasteful furnishings.
positive:
Ideal business choice.
The InterContinental Tampa places a strong emphasis on business and corporate clients. The hotel is located in the largest business district in Florida and also provides enough onsite facilities to take care of virtually any business requirement. Conference tables in some suites are also a nice convenient touch.
positive:
Great all-round location and friendly staff.
The hotel is close enough to a wide range of restaurants and shopping malls to satisfy even the most hardened shopaholic or fashionista. Hotel staff are friendly and do whatever is needed to keep guests happy.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Free parking is further away.
The hotel offers a choice between surcharged valet parking and free self-parking. Self-parking is located further away from the hotel and can be quite inconvenient, making it seem as if the hotel forces guests to go for the paid valet parking option instead.
negative:
Wi-Fi is not included in room price.
A very frequent complaint among guests is the hotel surcharged Wi-Fi service. Free Wi-Fi is becoming the norm in most hotels so why this hotel charges for downloads is unfathomable. To add insult to injury, the Wi-Fi signal is often poor, making it an unreliable and costly service.
negative:
Noisy bar and no free breakfast.
The hotel bar lounge is a great place to mingle with other guests or to enjoy informal meetings. However, the bar area can get a bit noisy at times, not great for those who are looking for a relaxing evening. The hotel also does not offer any kind of complimentary breakfast option.
