Positive Reviews
positive:
child-friendly slide and pool.
If you're looking for a child-friendly getaway with facilities to keep them occupied, you'll be right at home at Americinn Rapid City. Kids love the flume ride and splashing about in the swimming pool, and there's plenty of space for adults to sit back and keep an eye on them whilst relaxing.
positive:
Comfortable, modern rooms.
While this may be a no-frills hotel, the rooms are still perfectly adequate, and most guests seem to enjoy a comfortable stay. If you just need somewhere cheap to stay with modern conveniences like free Wi-Fi and home comforts like coffee makers, then you'll like the rooms here.
positive:
Staff who go out of their way to help.
The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, and staff seem more than happy to help in any way they can. Guests report that issues are quickly dealt with, including room changes where necessary, and many members of staff are also happy to offer advice on local tourist attractions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast is so-so.
Like many free hotel breakfasts, the morning fare here is nothing to get particuarly excited about. While some guests seem happy with the breakfast, others are disappointed in lukewarm or undercooked items, and a somewhat limited range. You might want to seek out breakfast elsewhere.
negative:
Lots of children create lots of noise.
There is no doubt that this is a family-friendly establishment, and if you've got kids in tow, you'll probably sigh with relief to let them loose and have fun. However, if you're looking for a calm and tranquil retreat, this place is probably not for you - babies cry, children shriek, and noise carries.
negative:
The Wi-Fi is unreliable.
If you're a frequent traveler, erratic Wi-Fi will no doubt be one of your frequent bugbears, and unfortunately, it seems to be an issue at Americinn Rapid City too. Many guests report problems with logging on or with slow loading, so it may be a bit of a struggle.
