The Jewel is the stunning new heart of Singapore Changi Airport. Topped by a complex latticework dome constructed from glass panels, this gleaming Terminal 1 annex opened in April 2019 and has at its core a jaw-droppingly beautiful indoor waterfall of recycled rainwater that cascades for 40 metres. Linked to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 by new pedestrian bridges, the Jewel is a ten-storey structure that has five basement storeys and five above ground. It’s here that passengers can explore luscious gardens, art installations and seasonal floral displays. There are also 280 shops and restaurants to explore, new early check-in counters and a canopy park that lets visitors walk high above the crowds along suspended walkways.
