Join the club...
The Club level rooms are widely described as clean, comfortable, and well appointed, particularly those located in the newest wing of the hotel. Many feature a dazzling view of the river and the city. The elegant Club Lounge also offers a panoramic view as well as a tasty breakfast buffet.
positive:
Good for business...
Business travellers appreciate the hotel's proximity to the World Trade Centre and ExpoCentre. Moscow City is also within walking distance or easily accessible via taxi; however, savvy guests take the reception staff's kind advice to negotiate the fare in advance. Many describe the front desk personnel as courteous and efficient as well as helpful.
positive:
Something for every taste...
Guests appreciate that there are several restaurants, cafes, and bars within the World Trade Centre building, which is connected to the hotel. There is a good variety across the type of cuisine (Chinese, Indian, European, American) and a handful of good restaurants nearby, too. Travellers also love the small supermarket on site, and are pleasantly surprised by its fair prices.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A poor choice for tourists...
Travellers warn future guests that the metro is not nearby; it is about 15-30 minutes on foot. Those who prefer to get their exercise indoors have been disappointed in the (privately owned) gym on site, too.
negative:
A chilly atmosphere, say some...
Guests comment that some of the reception personnel and wait staff have been forbidden to smile, and as there are also many imposing security personnel at all entrances, the overall effect is not very warm and welcoming.
negative:
A tale of two hotels...
The standard rooms in the older wing of the building are more often described as small, dated, or otherwise below "five star" expectations. Poor housekeeping is also occasionally reported.
