Positive Reviews
positive:
Great leisure amenities onsite
Guests really appreciated all the leisure amenities available at the resort. They were of course in the area to have a good time, and maybe visit Colonial Williamsburg - very much in holiday mood. They loved all the amenities from the rather charming bowling green to the indoor and outdoor pools.
positive:
Terrific value for money
Guests were very happy indeed with the value for money they received during their stay. The general feeling was that they paid about the room rate for a nice hotel room, but received an extensive suite with full kitchen instead; and had access to some great resort facilities as well.
positive:
Very beautiful decor
Guests were not only impressed with the facilities in their rooms, but even more with the overall design. They said they looked both stylish and cozy, two things that often do not go together in practice.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Walls are “paper thin”
Quite a number of guests mentioned that the one shortcoming they could find with their room was that the walls were not soundproofed. They reported that they could hear normal sound from adjacent rooms quite easily, let alone the sound of people actually making a noise.
negative:
Checkout too early
Perhaps this could be read as a sign that guests really enjoyed the resort and didn’t want to leave, but the fact was that a number of guests mentioned that the check out time was very early. They considered it much earlier than is standard practice in hotels.
negative:
Poor dining facilities
Guests didn’t think that the onsite café really offered a varied enough menu, especially those staying at the resort for some time. If they were to have every meal at the café their palates would soon become quite jaded.
