Well proportioned and clean, rooms are the prime feature of any hotel and here, they are fine! The place, generally, is conveniently placed for trips to nearby attractions, plus there are local shops and convenience stores very close by.
There's loads of hot water and the pressure is great. Showering is, therefore, a real joy.
Sometimes they're working under difficult circumstances but they never cease to be friendly, polite, informative and efficient. They deserve a medal ... each!
In hot weather, there's no ice machine - just ice on request from reception - and the air conditioning doesn't work. In cold weather, the heating doesn't work, so rooms are freezing cold.
It needs a revamp. Rooms haven't been decorated in years and there's that 'mildewy' smell which isn't pleasant at all. Security too is an issue and they need to tighten up (*or even introduce!) a system to secure the guest's room effectively.
The pool is a major reason for some guests to choose a hotel. The pool here, though, has seen better days and may even be closed because of staff shortages. It seems that the hard working front desk staff also clean the rooms ... and maintain the pool! Obviously, it's not their fault but something needs to be done to ensure that advertised services are actually provided.
