A fair number of guests travelling in the winter months were happy to be able to report that, despite the heritage nature of the building, it seems that proper heating has been installed. The rooms were said to be especially warm and cosy.

On the whole, guests were pretty happy with the location of the hotel, saying it was close to both the CBD and Cataract Gorge, the two locations that seemed most important overall.

It seems that even guests in the standard hotel rooms were quite happy with their size, with a number commenting that they found them very spacious.

A number of guests pointed out that, perhaps due to the heritage nature of the property, one may need to climb sets of very steep stairs to access the accommodation. It seems that even perfectly able visitors sometimes found these daunting, so those with mobility issues will have to carefully arrange the specifics of their room and its location with the property.

Quite a number of guests reported finding their room a bit noisy, leading to some difficulty sleeping. The main culprit seemed to be cars passing by on the street, since it was mostly those with street facing rooms complaining.

A remarkable number of guests reported that the curtains in their room did not effectively bock out the light, making sleeping in very difficult. They would have preferred blackout curtains.
