About Auldington Hotel
Formerly a Presentation Sister’s Convent, Hotel Auldington has been refurbished and converted into 4-star boutique accommodation that offers 18 individually decorated guest rooms.
All rooms are air conditioned and feature modern en suite bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi is included and rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with digital channels, DVD player, iPod docking station, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Toiletries are also complimentary. Some rooms feature a spa bath, balcony and/or a separate lounge area.
The front desk is open during set hours and offers tourist information and bookings. Guests are also offered exclusive 10% discount restaurant vouchers. Laundry and services and DVD hire are available at a surcharge. On-site parking is free.
A continental breakfast is offered each morning at a surcharge.
Hotel Auldington is within ten-minutes’ walk of Royal Park, Penny Royal World and the Queen Victoria Museum.

The hotel is located in a quiet location that is just f 15-minutes' walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants in Launceston's town centre. Other attractions that can be reached within a 15-minute walk include the Brisbane Street Mall, Queen Victoria Museum and Royal Park.

The rooms have been described as both charming and modern. The rooms are clean, well appointed and spacious, featuring high ceiling and a large modern bathroom. The beds are comfortable and all the necessary amenities for a relaxed stay are provided including an entertainment system and minibar.

Venetian blinds fail to block out light
Guests complained that the rooms do not have curtains and instead are equipped with venetian blinds that do not adequately block out the morning light or the street lights at night.

Poor soundproofing
Guests reported that the wall are poorly sound proofed and that the sound of neighbouring guests and people coming and going in the corridors was disturbing. You may wish to bring earplugs especially if you're a light sleeper.

Limited free Wi-Fi service
While free Wi-Fi is included, guests have a limited amount of data which they can use. Depending on how much internet usage you need, the Wi-Fi can run out quickly. Other guests reported either experiencing a slow connection or being unable to connect to the service.
