Hotel Country Club Villas (Launceston, Australia)

Launceston is a 15-minute drive away from the property and the historic village of Evandale and a number of wineries in the Tamar Valley can be reached within 25-minutes' drive. There is also a local golf course which is just a few minutes' walk away.

The accommodation has been described as spacious, clean and well presented. A well-stocked kitchenette allows guests to self-cater. Free parking is also available with the car park being conveniently close to each villa.

The staff at reception were found to be friendly and hospitable. A local courtesy bus to and from particular local attractions which guest found convenient.

The property is old and outdated and guests commented that it was overdue for refurbishment. The decor has been described as drab and outdated and some of the carpets have been found to be worn and stained. The beds are also due for replacement with guests complaining that the mattresses are old and do not provide a good nights' sleep. For such reasons guests felt that the property did not provide good value for money.

Housekeeping provides a daily service however staff are not always reliable and various complaints have been made about the standard of cleaning. On some occasions mold has been found growing in the bathroom, surfaces were reportedly dusty and the kitchenette was not always hygienic with dirty plates and cutlery being found in the cupboards.

Guests complained the advertising is misleading and that accommodations can more accurately be described as an old unit rather than a modern villa.
