Guests liked being within the SkyCity complex for easy access to its entertainment, dining and leisure options. It was reportedly easy to walk to Auckland harbor and Britomart train station in about ten minutes. Auckland Airport was about 25 minutes away by car.

There was also praise for shared facilities like the pool, sauna, spa and gym. Guest rooms attracted mostly positive remarks from reviewers who thought they were spacious, well-appointed and tastefully-furnished with modern bathrooms that were well-equipped. The captivating views of the harbor and city were another bonus for many reviewers. Cleaning in the rooms was also reported to be of a good standard.
