Reviewers were overwhelmingly positive about the convenient location of this hotel. You can walk about 100 meters to reach check-in at the international terminal or take the bus for the short drive to the domestic terminal nearby. Naturally, this hotel's location made it highly popular with airport passengers many of whom described it as a perfect haven if you're traveling long haul or on a lay-over in Auckland.

Guests were mostly impressed by the rooms, describing them as well-cleaned, modern and tastefully-decorated with modern bathrooms. Beds were reportedly cozy too. Some guests were also impressed by views of the sea and runways from their rooms.

Nothing was reportedly too much trouble for personnel, according to most reviewers who praised their friendly and helpful manner. Families often felt they were well catered for with touches like a children's menu and play area. Diners generally liked the food and trendy ambience in the restaurant and bar decorated with a verdant living wall. Dishes were said to be well-cooked and prepared with local produce.

Effective soundproofing measures managed to exclude aircraft noise successfully, it was claimed, but noise from adjacent rooms and corridors was reportedly audible in some rooms which occasionally bothered light sleepers.

Paying for in-room Wi-Fi was unpopular with guests who felt they were already paying enough for their rooms. Nevertheless, there was free Wi-Fi provided for guests in public areas.

The frosted glass cage design of the en suite bathrooms wasn't to everyone's liking. Some reviewers felt it didn't offer as much privacy as a standard design bathroom. It also meant light poured into the bedrooms when the bathroom lights were switched on at night.
