Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly staff
The staff here is professional and friendly, despite being under pressure as some reconstruction and refurbishing has been carried out lately. Tony at the front desk has been mentioned as being particularly co-operative and helpful, not only in welcoming guests and assisting them in various matters but also in guiding them to good restaurants and in how to get the best out of their stay in Huntersville. Another staff member, Brendan is mentioned as being very helpful too.
positive:
Great location
The location has been mentioned as being particularly good here. The hotel is close to the beautiful and scenic Lake Norman. It is also very convenient for restaurants, shopping and gas stations, which is a great asset, not to mention being accessible for the I-77 motorway.
positive:
Quiet hotel
This is a very quiet hotel, so it is certainly a place to stay in if peace and quiet is the main requirement. One of the guests mentioned that he and his partner had particularly chosen to stay here because there is no swimming pool. He felt that had there had been a pool, the hotel might have attracted a younger, noisier crowd than it currently does.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Renovations in progress
Some guests stayed here while renovations were in progress. During the renovations, many of the rooms, once decorated, were available for booking, so even though there was inconvenience to some guests, many enjoyed their newly decorated rooms.
negative:
Noisy air-conditioners
Some of the air-conditioners here are rather noisy, which can be disturbing, especially for those who are light sleepers.
negative:
Mixed-up booking
Because of some confusion, some bookings were mixed up recently, causing grief to the guests involved. Perhaps this had occurred owing to the fact that the property is currently undergoing substantial renovations and refurbishment.
