You can walk to bars, restaurants and shops within 10 minutes or so ... and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to get to the beach. Miami International airport is 14 miles away.

Everything you need is supplied. All you need to do is buy food and provisions – or wander along the road to a number of enticing restaurants.

These condo apartments are privately owned, so quality and facilities vary. For the main part, though, they are clean and spacious with good quality furnishings and furniture. If you’re lucky and if you want it, you may get a late check out without any of the usual hassle … or extra charges!

At the disappointing end of the scale, visitors state that their towels, pillows and bedding are smelly and not clean. Surfaces are sticky; a giveaway if one was needed that cleaning standards are poor. It isn’t cheap either, so the result can be one of dissatisfaction on a number of points.

Despite free information, this place is difficult to find. They advertise free parking but, on arrival, you are faced with a charge.

The main building is the hotel – but your apartment isn’t part of this. Yours is in a rather shabby looking adjacent building and access is via a completely uninspiring entrance off the car park. Then, the approach to the apartment itself continues to go downhill. Quite depressing really and doesn't reflect the price paid. Finally, check the apartment location before you book. If it’s anywhere near the (very handy) communal launderette, you’ll be ‘awash’ with noise from very early morning onwards.
