While this hotel boasted some outstanding amenities, this – perhaps more than anything else – raised the overall level of the guest experience here. Unsurprisingly, this property boasts a high number of repeat guests, many of whom have commented that the level of service has remained unchanged over time.

Also, the breakfast here was highly commended, with many very appreciative of both the quality and quantity of offerings. The evening drinks reception was also a nice touch, a thoughtful amenity that again helped raised the overall experience. Finally, guests were pleased to find that the location of this hotel put them within easy reach of the charms of Durango as well as Great Sand Dunes and Mesa Verde national parks.

Hot rooms, hard mattresses
Guests were unhappy to find that room interiors took a considerable amount of time to cool down during hot weather. Also, many found the mattresses to be uncomfortable and hard.

The showers are fixed, a point that many found to be inconvenient. This was especially true of those with younger children, who would have liked to have seen units with detachable shower heads.
