Shoshone Falls (Twin Falls, USA)

Shoshone Falls are often referred to as the “Niagara of the West” and with a drop of 212 ft they are 50 ft higher than the Niagara Falls. It is recommended to visit the falls during spring when the Snake River runs high due to melted snow as later in the year irrigation can cause the river to run dry. The Shoshone Falls and Dierkes Lake Complex are operated by the city of Twin Falls and apart from views of the falls you will also find playgrounds, picnic areas, trails, a boat ramp and a swimming area as well as toilets and a visitor information centre. Admission fee : $3 per car
