Longleat Safari Park (Warminster, United Kingdom)
In 1966, Longleat became the first location outside Africa to open a drive-through Safari Park. Set in the Wiltshire countryside, visitors can drive through a variety of animal enclosures which include Wolf Wood, Lion country, Tiger Territory, Pelican Pond, Deer Park, Big Game Park, Monkey Jungle, Vulture Venue, Flamingo Valley and East African Game Reserve. The duration of a drive-through is approximately 90-minutes and the first section of the Safari Park includes a Giraffe Viewing Platform, cloakrooms and a souvenir shop/kiosk. There are more attractions next to the Safari Park, including Longleat House, Adventure Castle, Hedge Maze, Pets corner, Butterfly garden, Railway, Postman Pat Village, Old Joe’s mine and motion simulators. You can buy individual tickets for these attractions or by a passport ticket for all these and the Safari Park which will save you money. Tariffs for entrance to the Safari Park only: Adults - £11.00 Child (3-14) - £8.00 Senior - £8.00. Passport ticket to all attractions: Adult - £22.00 Child - £16.00 Senior - £16.00. (Major credit cards, excluding Diners, are accepted.) Open everyday except December 25th. Winter opening times are from10am-14:30/15:00 and Summer opening times 10am-4pm (5pm on weekends and bank holidays).
