The White Lion is said to be a very handsome village inn, which has plenty of character due to its well preserved history and the atmosphere of the pub — with plenty of friendly locals to be found in the bar. On top of this, the location in a quiet and picturesque countryside spot close to Stourhead and the Stourhead Gardens, was a nice bonus for some.
