What a hidden gem
Most visitors wondered if they should let the secret out of the bag with this Auckland property. They felt that it offered a relaxing location for those who needed to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet, yet you can still find a few restaurants and other entertainment within a short walk if you feel like getting out.
positive:

Guests loved the awesome old world charm of this lovely building, and appreciated that it was so well looked after. Even the distinctive decor was found to be well preserved, yet clean, bright and well-kept.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No extras here
From bedside lamps. towel racks and plug outlets, to a lack of tea and coffee supplies left guests quite inconvenienced. Most visitors would have paid a little extra for things like tea and coffee to be included, as it was not ideal to have to go out every time someone needed a cup of tea.
negative:
Some extra attention needed
Guests were not totally satisfied with the overall cleanliness of the rooms. Carpets looked like they could have done with a deep clean, and the amount of dust in the rooms indicated to guests that the cleaning is not all that thorough.
negative:
It's cold inside
Guests found the staff to be warm and friendly; however the rooms and bathrooms in particular were found to be very cold. There's no heating here so make sure you bring your winter clothing.
