Baymont Inn and Suites Houston I45 North is located right on the freeway providing quick and easy access to other destinations. The hotel is also close by to a number of eateries, a gas station as well as convenience stores. Local attractions include Wet 'n' Wild SplashTown, Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens and the Houston Police Department Museum all of which are within ten-minutes' drive.

The rooms have been described as well presented, clean, spacious and furnished with large, comfortable beds. The Wi-Fi connection is reliable and guests also commented favorably on the  complimentary breakfast. The outdoor area is well lit and is equipped with camera security.

Guests described the staff as friendly, professional, welcoming and helpful. Some staff members were singled out for positive feedback as guests reported they went above and beyond to make their stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Some rooms may be noisy due to their close proximity to the freeway and recommended that pending guests request a room that is closer to the back which are quieter.

Some guests complained that, although the hotel is advertised as a non-smoking room, their rooms smelled heavily of stale cigarette smoke. Some guests also reported furnishings that were damaged by cigarette burn holes. Other guests reported their room smelled of mildew.

Some guests reported witnessing illicit activity take place in the area, giving examples of drugs sales and prostitution occurring in the parking lot.
