Hotel maintained the old charm
There are a number of visitors who have commented about the old charm of this hotel. Although it is one of the older hotels, it is well-kept, where the old and the new have been very well blended. It gives the feeling of "timeless" instead of "tasteless".
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking fee a little high
It might be a good idea to find out a little more about the on-site parking before you arrive. Guests at the Kahler Grand Hotel feel that the hotel parking is too expensive. However, if you are a visitor to the Mayo Clinic, the parking across the road at the clinic is much more reasonable.
negative:
Signage could point you in wrong direction
The signage can be a little confusing if you are looking for the pool or the fitness center. Travelers have pointed out that although the fitness center is on the 10th floor the signage points you to the 11th floor. It's hard to find, but when you do, it's a great center.
negative:
Tiny bathrooms
It has been pointed out by visitors that the bathrooms are really small, and difficult to maneuver around. For most guests, however, they preferred to spend most of their vacation time checking out the local attractions.
