The hotel’s location was a highlight for many previous guests. Various points of interest such as the Heritage Park Historical Village, Fish Creek Provincial Park and other Calgary attractions are in relatively close proximity to the accommodation.

In most cases, the staff members were one of the best aspects about staying at the accommodation for past visitors. From a supposedly warm welcome on arrival to helping with advice about the area, the service provided was considered to be very good overall.

Despite disapproval about the water temperature at times, most former guests were appreciative of the hotel’s indoor swimming pool area. Complete with a hot tub and large waterslide, the pool room was generally thought of as an enjoyable area for those of all ages.

Whilst the large majority were content, the accommodation’s complimentary breakfast has generated negative reviews from a notable amount of previous visitors. Along with a somewhat limited choice, the quality of certain breakfast items was judged to be substandard.

Based on the feedback of various past guests, the soundproofing of the hotel’s rooms was not completely sufficient in keeping out noise. It has been said that the sounds of others in the hallways and neighbouring rooms can be disruptive.

Although not always the case, a sizeable number of former visitors encountered hygiene-related problems during their time at the accommodation. Along with cleanliness issues such as pungent smells and stained carpets, the regularity of the housekeeping has also come under criticism on occasion.
