Positive Reviews
positive:
Lots of space in the Penthouse...
Families and groups love the spacious, bi-level Penthouse suites, which have a living room, kitchen, and one bedroom on the ground floor, and a second, loft-style bedroom up a set of stairs. Both these and the studio rooms are widely described as very clean, comfortable, and quiet, despite the nearby interstate. Four-legged guests like that the grounds are safe and clean for walking, with conveniently located pet waste stations.
positive:
A good location for drivers...
Guests breaking up a long trip love that the hotel is easy to find from the I25 and I40 interchange, and the location is also convenient for guests exploring the diverse attractions of Albuquerque, such as the Balloon Fiesta, Petroglyph National Monument, Route 66, and Sandia Peak. There are many restaurants and shops nearby as well.
positive:
Friendly faces and a hot breakfast...
The front desk staff have earned many positive reviews for their hospitality and professionalism, particularly for prompt resolution of issues. Hungry guests pleased to find heartier hot dishes as well as the usual continental options at the free buffet, and the complimentary social hours early in the week are also well appreciated.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Feeding a crowd...
Guests often comment that the breakfast area is a bit too small for the number of travellers and also describe the layout as "awkward."
negative:
Taking the stairs...
The 'townhouse' style of the penthouse units has a few downsides: the external doors are accessed via stairs and the parking spaces are not directly out front, a bother for tired travellers with heavy bags.
negative:
Nice fireplace, logs not included...
Guests initially charmed by the fireplaces are sometimes annoyed to find the logs available for purchase back at the front desk, not complimentary. The bottled water in the rooms is also considered overpriced.
