Guests enjoyed spending their evenings in the lounge where complimentary wine and cheese is served daily. Many described the lounge as being tastefully decorated and a pleasant place to spend a few hours. The pool area was also said to be very clean with plenty o comfortable loungers and a waterfall feature.
The guesthouse is situated in the French Quarter just a short walk away from the popular Bourbon Street. Although there is no restaurant on-site guests were pleased to find numerous cafes right across the street as well as grocery shops. Lots of music venues and other tourist attractions can be reached on foot making the mansion an ideal base for exploring the city.

Although there is a lift on the premises it has been described as old and slow leaving guests the option of climbing the stairs which many said were steep and narrow. If you have any mobility issues it's advisable to ask for a ground floor room.
The continental breakfasts have been described as insubstantial by many of the guests who objected to the limited choice of items on offer and also the quality of the food.
Guests whose rooms were facing the street mentioned that they could hear noise from the bars across the road which often lasted until the early hours. Traffic noise also prevented some guests from getting a good night's sleep.
