Positive Reviews
positive:
A home away from home...
Guests often comment that the hotel feels more like an apartment complex or condo, and the "homey" feeling works well for longer business trips and families on vacation. The penthouse suites are particularly popular with couples travelling together, as they feature two bedrooms, two baths, and a comfortable living room. Everyone appreciates the full kitchens, even if they don't cook, and the outdoor area also gets raves: the pool, hot tub, sport court, and grilling area are widely described as inviting and well maintained.
positive:
Take the shortcut to the Plaza...
Drivers generally love the hotel's location; the hotel is located Galisteo Street, which runs straight downtown, allowing them to neatly avoid the much busier "main" roads to the Plaza, gallery district, and museums. There are a couple of grocery stores and several restaurants within a short drive, too.
positive:
Good value for money...
Guests comment that the hotel offers good value for money in comparison with properties closer to the Plaza, and appreciate the many "free" amenities, including the hot breakfast, ample parking, Wi-Fi, and the evening social hour.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The most important meal of the day...
Guests staying longer than a few days crave more day-to-day variety in the breakfast, while others have been disappointed to find the kitchen frequently "all out" of popular items, or are turned off by the disposable plates and cutlery.
negative:
A lukewarm reception...
Though the staff receive many positive reviews, some guests have reported an "indifferent" level of customer service at the front desk and/or absent management staff.
negative:
Step by step...
There are no elevators on the property, and the staircases leading up to the loft area in the penthouse suites are a bit steep for some, and a bother with heavy suitcases.
