Positive Reviews
positive:
Great waffles at breakfast time
Like other La Quinta properties, this one has waffle machines that guests use themselves to make their own waffles. Aside from the novelty, which many guests appreciated, this also resulted in waffles that ended up on the plate piping hot and delicious.
positive:
The Rocky Mountain views
While not mentioned often, it was reported that the rooms facing west have great views towards the Rockies. Out of state visitors were especially impressed, since the view left them in no doubt that they had arrived in Colorado.
positive:
Very comfortable beds
While the verdict wasn't quite unanimous, there were certainly a lot more guests who liked the mattresses used than those who didn't. The hotel uses pillow-top mattresses which were said to be very slightly on the firm side, so those who like this style will likely be quite satisfied.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No on-site mini-mart
Unlike many La Quinta hotels, this one does not have an on-site mini-mart. Some found this a bit inconvenient, since it meant they couldn't easily stock up on snacks and drinks.
negative:
Could do with a makeover
Although it was not a very commonly expressed sentiment, a few guests did think that the hotel was showing its age. They felt it would soon need to be renovated in order to remain relevant.
negative:
Problems at the front desk
While it might just have been bad luck, a few guests traveling at different times reported that there was nobody at reception when they arrived and they had to go and seek staff out in order to check in. Some felt that the hotel was short-staffed with staff having to fulfill multiple roles.
