Hotel Propeller Island City Lodge (Berlin, Germany)

Propeller Island City Lounge is situated in Wilmersdorf district, near the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. The hotel has 30 rooms located on 3 floors of a 19th century building. The manager of the hotel, an artist Lars Stroschen, created and furnished each room differently and in an unusual style. The piece of art includes rooms like the mirror, the coffins, the flying bed, the upside down room, the table room, the glass house, the prison cell, the padded cell, space-cube, two lions, forest etc. Due to a lack of space some of the rooms are missing their own bathroom, but instead have a shared one. Instead of reception there is an office, that is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The breakfast room features many giant photos with tropical plants and can be used as the meeting-room for up to 35 people. On the ground floor is situated the Gallery, where anyone can see and even buy furniture, art and other items. Each room can be seen on the hotel's homepage. When making reservation, 3 rooms must be selected in case the desired one is not available. The nearest U-bahn station is Aden.
