Hotel Lumière Place (St Louis, USA)

Lumière Place is perfectly located in the downtown area of St. Louis, within walking distance to shopping, dining, sports stadiums, and parks. The Mississippi River is only two blocks away, and the Gateway Arch is only a few more blocks down. Guests can also enjoy a tour at the famous Anheuser-Busch Brewery, a few miles away.

Recent guests thought the staff at Lumière Place is friendly, helpful, attentive and accommodating. If you run into any problems, they will try resolve it in an efficient manner. If you need suggestions on where to go or how to get there, don't hesitate to ask, as the staff is very knowledgeable about the area.

Guests enjoyed the breakfast buffet offered at the hotel, saying there was a decent variety of food and everything was fresh and delicious. Other dining options onsite, including The Diner, open 24/7, also receive many compliments on their dishes.

Many guests thought much of the hotel décor is outdated, and some renovations are necessary. There is a lack of available outlets, room lights are very dim, bathrooms could use an update and the carpets either need a deep clean or replacement. In addition, most rooms, even the non-smoking ones, have a lingering cigarette smell.

Several guests had a problem connecting to the free Wi-Fi at the hotel. Others that were able to connect thought the internet speed was too slow. However, most guests, did not have a problem.

Though most guests did not have an issue with noise, a few did mention hearing hallway traffic from their rooms, especially near the lobby or on the fourth floor. If you're a light sleeper, it's a good idea to bring a pair of earplugs along as a precaution.
