For those wishing to explore the St Louis area, the hotel is conveniently placed to find your way around the area. The hotel is just 2 blocks from the Gateway Arch, close to Busch Stadium, historical sites and restaurants and, a little further afield, a short drive from the City Museum and zoo.

The staff at the hotel are said to be both friendly and attentive. The hotel is upscale, but well priced and not at all pretentious; so all guests feel right at home. What's more, the management are ever-present and are approachable if need be.

If it's an external view you'd like, it is recommended that you make these clear when you reserve your room. Not all rooms do enjoy great views, in fact, some have only internal windows and have views across the lifts.

The hotel does have a handy parking garage for guests, however, those with larger vehicles should consider the fact that the parking facilities are rather tight. Even those with fairly small cars have found manoeuvring into a space difficult at times.

While most guests have only good things to say about the overall maintenance and decoration at the hotel, others have commented on some items they feel should be replaced. The carpets and chairs in some rooms do have some stains, and a deep clean or change would vastly improve things.
