Positive Reviews
positive:
Top marks for the staff
Most guests give the front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff rave reviews for their personable and professional customer service, commenting often on their smiling faces. Compliments are also due to the chef; many guests enjoy the full American breakfast buffet as well as the cooked-to-order menu.
positive:
Quiet rooms with all the necessities..
Most guests find the rooms to be spotlessly clean and spacious, with comfortable, modern furnishings and quiet, effective air-conditioning. Tired travelers generally appreciate the convenience of the microwave, fridge, and 24-hour Pavilion Pantry, as well as the plush beds with crisp sheets.
positive:
Convenient location..
Guests often choose the Holiday Inn Fredericksburg to break up a long drive, as it is just a few minutes off the I-95. Shoppers love having the Central Park retail district next door, which also offers many restaurant options. The hotel is also an ideal base for history buffs, with numerous Civil War battlefields minutes away as well as George Washington's childhood homes.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Light sleepers, take note..
Several guests in rooms facing the I-95 had difficulty sleeping through the traffic noise, though those who were able to change rooms found those at the back of the hotel much quieter.
negative:
Time for refurbishment?
Though most guests are pleased with the overall condition of the rooms, some guests were disappointed by dated or worn furnishings. A small group of guests were dissatisfied with the level of effort put in by housekeeping.
negative:
Too much food for some..
Though many guests do enjoy the breakfast buffet, lighter eaters generally do not find it very cost effective, and might want to look into booking a 'bed and breakfast' rate.
