Perfect for a zombie pilgrimage
Any fans of George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" will be in the perfect spot to explore the Monroeville mall—setting of the final half of the film. You can walk among the living and browse through the shops (with or without social commentary). Sure, the mall's been updated, but it remains a seminal piece of horror film history.
positive:
Reliable in an uncertain world
Travelers understand the value of dependability. With flight times constantly shifting, road conditions which vary according to accidents, construction, and weather, you'll appreciate how consistently clean, quiet, and comfortable the Hampton Inn Pittsburg/Monroeville Hotel is.
positive:
Free breakfast is always a treat
Nothing starts your day better than a free, hot breakfast waiting for you. With a diverse selection of continental and hot favorites like eggs, toast, waffles, cereal, and beverages, you can begin your adventures with a full stomach. Or, if you're in a rush, the hotel also offers a to-go breakfast bag.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Can be a little noisy
In spite of recent renovations, some guests have mentioned that the Hampton Inn Pittsburg/Monroeville Hotel has fairly thin walls. Visitors felt the rooms weren't soundproofed enough and let in racket from the hallways and the streets outside.
negative:
Could use more parking
The hotel offers free parking to all its visitors. However, several prior visitors to the hotel noted that the lot can fill up quickly during the dinner rush at the on-site restaurant. While the parking shortage is temporary, it can be frustrating if you need a space.
negative:
Weak Wi-Fi in rooms
With free wireless access and a computer in the lobby, the hotel is fully equipped for the business traveler. Unfortunately, several former roomers had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi in their rooms, forcing them to use alternate sources like the lobby signal or courtesy computer.
