Hotel Dorion (Montréal, Canada)

From arrival to check-out, guests reported that they were made to feel right at home and were treated like family by staff who go out of their way to make sure guests are happy and comfortable.  Staff members are always friendly, they're always available and ready to help out with anything guests need and they're knowledgeable about the area and are happy to provide suggestions on what to see and do.

The spacious guest rooms are cleaned frequently and are cleaned well.  Guests also reported the beds and furnishings are comfortable,  the bathrooms are modern and luxurious and there's lots of natural light entering the rooms.

Although this hotel is located a bit away from the main area and all the noise, guests reported that all the major attractions they wanted to see were within walking distance.  Some of the city's best restaurants are nearby and so are major transportation stops for easy access to areas further away.

Guests reported being hit with a variety of smells upon entering the hotel and again upon entering rooms.   These smells include cigarette smoke, strong cleaning agents, musty, stale air and smells that couldn't be identified.

There is no Wi-Fi service in the rooms although this is advertised.  It only works in some areas of the hotel and the service is slow and intermittent at best.

The hotel doesn't have its own parking and guests discovered this upon arrival when the front desk told them they would need to find parking elsewhere.   Guests reported having to park on the street and risk having their car vandalized or broken into.
