The hotel is easily accessible via I-77, and there are a number of shops, grocery stores and restaurants nearby for guests' convenience. Downtown Columbia and the University of South Carolina are just seven miles away, and Fort Jackson is less than five miles from the hotel.

Guests love the design and style of the hotel. Featuring generous-sized guestrooms outfitted with contemporary decor, the hotel still feels very new and fresh. Most guests found the hotel to be very clean overall, and there were very few complaints about the cleanliness of the guestrooms and hotel facilities.

Most found the hotel staff very friendly and approachable. The check-in process was very simple and stress-free for the majority of guests, and staff members were happy to help with any concerns which might arise.

There are train tracks fairly close to the hotel, and several guests mentioned being bothered by the noise of passing trains. The trains' passing is infrequent though, and it is likely that you may not even experience it.

The hotel has an outdoor pool, and because of the climate in the region the pool is only open seasonally during the summer months between May and September. Some guests though it would have been nice if the hotel had an indoor pool that could be in use year-round.

Some guests suggested that the area did not seem like the safest. Some guests complained about panhandlers in the area, and a few guests reported hearing yelling and emergency vehicles pass by overnight.
