positive:
The location is excellent
For the majority of travelers the biggest draw of the hotel was the location. Chimayó de Santa Fe is only a block away from the famous Santa Fe square, which is packed with galleries, shops, and restaurants showcasing the best of the local artisan scene. It is also a popular spot for religious pilgrimages, with nearby Santuario de Chimayó, Shrine of Santo Niño de Atocha, and Chimayó Oratorio.
positive:
The hotel is beautiful
Previous guests loved the style and décor of the hotel. It is decorated in the traditional South Western style common to Santa Fe, and filled with local, original artwork. They appreciated having several places to relax and admire the atmosphere throughout the hotel, like the hotel's bar, the lobby, and the terrace.

Negative Reviews
negative:
The rooms can be rather dark
Several guests complained that the rooms could use more natural and artificial light. They found the darkness to be claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Contributing to the feeling was that the rooms are also a bit small.
negative:
It's a little dated
Some guests noted that the hotel is beginning to show signs of wear, such as cracks in the walls and ceilings, frayed carpets, doors that did not seal properly, and tired furniture. For them, this detracted from an otherwise wonderful stay, and they hoped that a renovation may be coming soon.
negative:
Guests with accessibility issues, beware
Though the hotel does have fully accessible rooms, many of the rooms can only be reached by climbing the stairs. Some guests were bothered by this, and particularly disliked having to haul their luggage up and down the stairs.
