Positive Reviews
positive:
The restaurant's popular with guests and locals.
Surely, the sign of a good onsite restaurant is when passing visitors and locals stop to eat there, as well as hotel guests, and the Copper House Tavern, attached to the hotel, certainly draws a crowd. Whether you eat there or just nip down for an evening drink, guests say that both the food and the atmosphere is satisfying.
positive:
Relax in a clean, comfortable room.
Comfortable bed? Check. Clean room? Check. Space to spread out, a balcony to enjoy some fresh air, home comforts included - check, check, and check. According to guests, the rooms tick all the boxes for comfort and a good night's sleep, so you can just turn up and relax.
positive:
Located close to Boston.
If you're in the area for a meeting at one of the nearby corporate headquarters in Technology Square, you could hardly find a more convenient location. But perhaps you're just looking for a decent place to stay close to downtown Boston and the universities - and it's well-located for that too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No shuttle service.
Guests say that, unlike some other hotels in the area, Best Western TLC doesn't offer a shuttle service to the train station, so if you're planning to get around the Boston area by public transport, it can be a bit difficult, and you may have to rely on taxis for at least the first leg of the journey.
negative:
The bathrooms are cramped.
While the bedrooms are fairly spacious, guests say that the en suite bathrooms are a bit of a squeeze, with limited room for movement. In some of the bathrooms, the toilet is wedged between the shower and sink, which can make things quite awkward.
negative:
I'ts on the expensive side.
Overall, guests seem to think that this is a perfectly decent, mid-range hotel - the problem is, they don't feel that the price reflects that. The location puts the price at a premium, and given its popularity with business guests, even midweek rates can be high.
