The place is impressively clean and spacious. Beds are comfy and it's an easy drive to shops, restaurants, etc. Great!

Members of staff are very attentive and do all that they can to smooth out any problems and ensure that your stay is enjoyable.

Nothing is missing and all the items that were promised in the itinerary are here and in working order.

You know the area where you'll be staying - but not the precise detail. Talk about living on a knife-edge!

One place you won't be staying is the rental offices - but this is where you have to go to pick up the key and where you return it at the end of your stay. This causes more hassle at both ends of the visit. It obviously suits them fine, but you would have hoped that, by now, they'd have come up with a better system - from the paying guests' angle. Add to this, the fact that you get an answering machine when you phone to arrange pick up and the stay gets off on the wrong foot.

The map they give you to find the apartment/house is not clear at all to strangers to the area. Ideally, they should accompany you and check the place out to ensure that all is OK - but they don't. They really should take on board the fact that the map is insufficient and next to useless-particularly if trying to find the darned place, with tired kids! … at dead of night.
