Positive Reviews
positive:
A convenient, central location...
Guests like the hotel's location in Canberra CBD, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and the War Memorial. It's also very close to the casino, convention centre, and Glebe Park. Central Canberra attractions such as Questacon and the National Portrait Gallery are within easy reach via public transport or a very short drive.

Comfortable rooms with leafy park views...
The rooms are widely described as bright and comfortable, many with peaceful views over the park. Many guests find the beds exceptionally cosy, and the Wi-Fi (free for members of the chain's loyalty program) to be reasonably steady and speedy. Extra touches such as the aromatherapy pillow spray and umbrellas in the hall closets also help guests feel welcome and "at home."

A warm welcome to Canberra...
The reception staff have received many positive reviews for their efficient, friendly, and professional customer service. Tourists generally find the concierge staff to be very helpful with sight-seeing suggestions and arrangements, too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Ready for a makeover...
Guests frequently describe the decor as a bit worn or dated, particularly in the bathrooms. Housekeeping oversights with regard to the linens and shower area have also been reported.
negative:
Mixed reviews for the restaurant...
Hungry guests have been let down by the restaurant and room service. Slow service and overpricing seem to be the key issues, and the bar closes too early for some, as well.
negative:
Car trouble...
No one likes to pay for parking, particularly when the underground garage is full and it is necessary to drive around to a separate lot. Valet is available, but of course an additional expense.
