Positive Reviews
positive:
Kind and helpful staff
Staff members here are kind, helpful and professional, with a great customer service attitude, particularly the front desk staff. They go out of their way to welcome visitors and do everything in their power to ensure that the guests have an enjoyable stay here.
positive:
Clean, comfortable hotel
The hotel is extremely clean, especially the rooms, the courtyard and the pool area. It offers a comfort which is typical of the California region. It has a light, airy feel because of the all-white decor and simplicity of style, with Spanish architectural inspiration, giving it a magical atmosphere. The presence of hummingbirds around the hotel adds to the magic.
positive:
Great location
Although a quiet and peaceful hotel, it is located close to the downtown area of Palm Springs, which makes it ideal for getting around. It is within walking distance of many local attractions and the fact that the bicycles are available for free makes it even better. It is also close to the local shopping area and restaurants.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Bar and restaurant closed
Guests who had booked the hotel in August were disappointed that the bar/lounge and restaurant in the hotel were closed during the month, which made it necessary to go outside to eat and drink. Being near the downtown area, there was no difficulty in finding other dining options, but it was a disappointment.
negative:
Better for couples
This hotel has been described as very quiet and romantic, ideal for couples or those planning a quiet and peaceful getaway, rather than for families with young children who may prefer an atmosphere which is more active and action-packed.
negative:
Noisy air-conditioning
There has been a complaint or two about the noisy air-conditioning system, which shatters the silence of this otherwise peaceful hotel.
