Positive Reviews
positive:
Very comfortable bedding
It is safe to say that the vast majority of guests were exceptionally happy with the comfort provided by the mattresses, pillows and bedding. Again and again guests would mention that the whole set up allowed them to get in a very restful night’s sleep.
positive:
Pretty decent breakfast
Although the hotel describes it as a simple continental affair, guests felt that the complimentary breakfast offered every morning delivered much more than this term would imply. They were especially impressed with the wide variety of foods available to choose from.
positive:
Decent location
Guests liked the location, mainly for two reasons. Firstly, they enjoyed being so close to the interstate, since it made for very straightforward traveling when heading to/from Austin and other destinations. Secondly, they felt there was a decent selection of restaurants nearby, so they never needed to travel far to eat well.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Problems with room allocation
A worrying number of guests had issues with room allocation. They had booked a particular type of room, only to be told on arrival that no rooms of that type remained. Sometimes third party booking sites were blamed for a “mix up”, but most guests were not buying this excuse, thinking that the hotel had given their room to another guest for operational reasons.
negative:
A bit noisy
A number of guests mentioned that they experienced noise problems during their stay, both from adjacent rooms and the hallways.
negative:
Expensive room rates
Quite a few guests felt the room rates they paid were too high. They felt that since the hotel I some distance from the action in downtown Austin, the rates should have been much more reasonable.
