Aromatherapy products really elevate your stay
Though it obviously represented a rather small part of their stay, previous guests simply love the complimentary aromatherapy toiletries provided in the room. In addition to the usual shampoo, conditioner, and soap, they provide lotions and aromatherapy mist, all tailored to help guests relax.
positive:
The food is excellent
Almost every guest who ate at the Crowne Plaza Virginia Beach Town Center felt the need to pass their compliments along to the chef. The food served at the hotel's restaurant for breakfast and dinner is exceptional, and the dessert menu does not disappoint either. Those that attended catered functions at the hotel were also impressed with the catering menu, and the professionalism of the banquet staff.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The surrounding area is distinctly urban
Though the word "beach" is right in the name, guests should not expect anything resembling the ambiance of an oceanfront property. The hotel is located in the city center, with most rooms featuring a lovely view of a parking lot.
negative:
The fitness center could use an update
Quite a few guests complained that the equipment in the fitness center is outdated, and did not always perform at full capacity.
negative:
Renovations can be noisy
Those that had the misfortune of staying during one of the periods when the hotel was undergoing renovations reported that the staff could have handled the situation better. Construction crews apparently acted in an inconsiderate manner, with the noise levels rising above what some guests deemed acceptable.
