    Carnarvon Museum is located in the Old Church Hall which dates from the mid 19th-century. The museum displays exhibits relating to the local history and culture as well as its agricultural roots. There is also a Corbelled House which had been relocated from a farm and inaugurated on 21 May 1967. The region is renowned for these early 19th-century domed houses which were built with flat stones and a mixture of mud and chaff. Traditionally the earthen floors were coloured with a mixture of ox-blood and fat.
