Positive Reviews
positive:
Superb service from the staff
Guests say that staff throughout the hotel are wonderful, making the effort to remember guests. They are all friendly and polite, very happy to help guests with questions and queries about Shanghai, and judging by the reviews nothing at all seems to be too much trouble for them.
positive:
Excellent touches
Guests like the additional touches laid on by the hotel. These extra amenities are the things that set a hotel apart, and at this particular hotel include a Nespresso coffee maker, Bose sound system, and free unlimited Wi-Fi. There is also free bottled water and plenty of bathroom toiletries to choose from.
positive:
Delicious breakfast buffet
Guests really enjoy breakfast, saying that there is a great selection of very fresh and tasty food. It is a good way to set yourself up for a busy day ahead, although there is so much on offer you might have to stop yourself trying it all.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some rooms are looking a bit tired
The reception of the hotel looks and feels very stylish, so this sets guest expectations high for what their room will be like. Compared to this, some feel that room décor is looking a bit tired and would benefit from refurbishment.
negative:
Pool could be cleaner
While guests enjoy using the health club facilities, including the fitness centre, some do not find the swimming pool to be as clean as they would like. They thought that the water looked a little bit dirty and did not feel particularly clean afterwards.
negative:
Not a place to take children
Though not a major issue, some reviews have suggested that this is something of a ‘grown-up' hotel with nothing for children to do. In other words, it is probably not the best place for families to stay.
