The Kensington Hotel (Ann Arbor, USA)

This hotel is located near downtown Ann Arbor, which offers a wide array of specialty shops and restaurants. This hotel is also convenient for guests with business at the University of Michigan. It's just a short distance to the famous Zingerman's Deli, and there is a mall nearby as well. UofM's Crisler Center and Michigan Stadium are less than three miles away.

This hotel offers a large swimming pool and lovely hot tub. The pool, although it doesn't have lines or lane guards, is, nonetheless, great for swimming laps. There is also an excellent workout room with cardio equipment and weights.

The staff at this hotel are friendly, polite, and accommodating. They offer professional service, yet the service is warm and genuine. They are extremely knowledgeable about the local area and all things University of Michigan, so be sure to ask if you have questions or need recommendations or directions.

This hotel is currently in the middle of renovations. The staff do their best to help you navigate this, but some guests are still assigned old rooms which can be very dark. Common areas in the hotel are filled with work tools. Some rooms are partially renovated and the hotel is still selling them to guests. Be prepared to check back for when renovations are complete.

Some guests report that noise from the nearby highway can be a bit loud and bothersome. You can also hear everything going on around you because of the thin walls. Normal speaking voices seem to be heard without a problem from the surrounding areas.

Several guests say the ceilings in this hotel are strangely low. Anyone over 6'5" may have to do quite a bit of ducking to avoid hitting their head.
