Positive Reviews
positive:
Great South Shore location
The location was the highlight of staying at the hotel for essentially all former guests. Thanks to its position in Blackpool's South Shore, the property is a short walk from shops, dining options and attractions such as the Pleasure Beach and South Pier.
positive:
Welcoming and friendly service
According to the majority of past visitors, the service delivered by the accommodation was at an acceptable standard. For those that had a positive experience, the owners of the property were regarded as welcoming and friendly in their approach.
positive:
Inexpensive option for the area
One notable selling point about staying at the hotel is its competitive pricing. Despite its simplistic nature, the property was seen as one of the cheapest options in the local area, and one of the main reasons for staying for previous guests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Basic and distressed rooms
The state of the rooms was regularly lambasted by previous visitors that stayed at the accommodation. As well as being noticeably basic with an apparent lack of televisions and other amenities, the rooms - with supposedly distressed décor - have been described as being significantly worse for wear.
negative:
Substandard hygiene levels
A sizeable amount of former guests were left upset about the hygiene levels of the hotel. From reportedly pungent smells to dirty bathrooms, various cleanliness-related concerns have been brought up about the rooms at the property.
negative:
No-thrills option lacking facilities
Although it offers an on-site bar and free Wi-Fi, the accommodation was generally considered very limited in terms of public facilities available. In particular, past visitors have been disappointed that no breakfast option or parking was provided.
