Strathgarry Hotel (Pitlochry, United Kingdom)

If you're tired after a long day of outdoor activity or local touring, you can feel confident in kicking your heels up and relaxing at your very own hotel for an evening meal. Strathgarry was praised over and over for its excellent food, with diners appreciating the wonderful traditional Scottish selections among the many tasty pub grub offerings.

Several guests were delighted to stay in tastefully, traditionally decorated rooms described as clean and tidy, spacious, and having big comfy beds and white, plush bath robes to luxuriate in. Visitors were further charmed by the hotel's themed rooms, each one named after famous Scottish whiskeys.

Guests were impressed with the staff at Strathgarry, who seemed to consistently provide wonderful, friendly service with a smile. No task was too much for these accommodating staff members who kindly allowed guests to check in both early and late, and often carried luggage up to guests' rooms for them.

While several guests reported having had a wonderful meal here, others seemed to hit the hotel restaurant on an off night, complaining of being overcharged for what appeared to be cheap ingredients, and of dishes tasting bland and greasy.

Some guests mentioned the hotel having thin walls, through which neighbours' entire conversations and even trips to the loo could be heard, much to the displeasure of the accidental listener!

Some guests mentioned feeling a slight disorganized feel about the management of this hotel, with various issues cropping up and dealt with in a haphazard manner.
