Guests found the ambiance of the hotel very laid- back and relaxing with lots of comfortable and pleasant places to spend their free time. Many enjoyed reading their papers in front of the open- fire of the hotel’s lounge whilst during finer weather guests sat outside with their drinks admiring the surrounding countryside and the wildlife.

All the meals served at the hotel including the freshly prepared breakfasts, have been highly praised by the guests. The food was described as very tasty made using quality local produce such as fresh fish and game and the menus were said to be quite extensive with most guests finding something that they like.

Many guests were pleased to find that their rooms were clean and spacious equipped with all the necessary amenities as well as having equally spacious and modern bathrooms. Many appreciated the added extras such as the bottled water and the up-to-date fixtures such as the power showers.

Most of the rooms are located on the upper floors and some guests found the daily climb to their rooms quite tiring. Those who arrived at the hotel with heavy items of luggage objected having to climb the stairs as there is no lift on the premises.

Some guests who had an early start were disappointed to find that the breakfast is served from 8 am which was too late for those who wanted to leave the hotel before that time.

Those who wanted to access the internet from their rooms found the signal very weak and intermittent and could only get online by being closer to the reception area.
