A bit of a hike to the waterfront
Travelers with small children take note: Some guests have mentioned that, while fairly close to the waterfront, the hotel is still a long walk away. Fortunately, the hotel also offers free shuttles to those who don't want to wear out their kids before they even arrive at their destination.
negative:
No breakfast service
Although the restaurant and coffee shop have a good variety of food and beverage options, the hotel doesn't include a breakfast service. If you're looking for a morning meal, though, you should be able to find one at a nearby eatery or café.

Be sure to pick the right room
At the Maxwell Hotel, some rooms come with amazing panoramas of downtown Seattle and its sights. Other rooms, however, come with a not-so-impressive view of the building next door's stucco wall. You'll definitely want to shell out a little extra for a Space Needle vantage point.
