Resort Club Wyndham Riverside Suites (San Antonio, USA)

This hotel is the ideal base fro exploring this historic area. You have the Alamo just a couple of blocks away, and the River Walk is right on your doorstep. You literally cannot find a better location for a hotel in San Antonio.

Everything you could possibly need is in the room that is set up just like a condo. You have your cooking facilities which are great, and your living area that is comfortable and best of all has cable TV that works.

The staff at this hotel are very nice people and are super attentive and will do their utmost to solve even the smallest of problems. They are also full of information about the local area and have plenty of tips you won't find in the guide books.

The main entrance is down an alleyway that isn't very well maintained. There are a few trash cans around the place, and it's generally quite run down looking but once inside you'll discover that the hotel itself is actually quite nice and very clean.

It's not a deal breaker, but you'll find that you have to walk a bit to get to your car and even then if the lot is busy, you may not get back in. It's not an ideal situation for those that drive their cars on their trip.

Some guests presumed that the hotel would have direct access to the River Walk, and so were a little annoyed to find that there was none. It's not too far but be aware of this when booking, so it's not a shock when you arrive.
